Better speaking is sometimes the answer. Better thinking always is.

The Pressure Test

Why expertise breaks down in public – and how to fix it.

What happens when you remove the slides, the talking points, and the controlled format? Most leaders have never had to find out.

The Pressure Test uses the logic of longform conversation – sustained, unscripted – as a practical test of communication readiness. Weak conviction, missing logic, audience misalignment, and message dependency will often survive a five-minute pitch. But forty minutes of real conversation will expose them.

Can your people still think clearly and communicate credibly in real time?

That standard matters because leaders are increasingly judged in settings where control is looser, exposure lasts longer, and surface-level fluency is easier to detect. Podcasts are one example. Panels, town halls, fireside conversations, investor discussions, and extended interviews follow the same logic. The Pressure Test uses that logic to diagnose where communication holds, where it starts to thin, what kind of authority remains when the scaffolding is removed, and whether a leader is genuinely ready to face sustained public questioning.

This is a one-to-one, half-day session for senior leaders — a sustained diagnostic conversation with structured debrief. Participants leave with a practical framework for diagnosing communication failures, a structure for holding their ground under pressure, and a sharper understanding of where their communication holds up – and where it unravels.

If this is a conversation your senior team needs to have,
let’s set it up.
